Fire Prowrestling World: New Beginning at Critical Club 7/16

Postby maikeru » Mon Jul 16, 2018 11:13 pm

So, I'm sure the info has been spread about already, but for the sake of those who don't wish to root thru the other thread about what happened here:

Given the situation with the owner of the fpwarena domain name, and with the blessing of FPWA admin C-Drive, we have started a new forum. Blackjack and hookers optional.

The name of the site is Critical! Club, and its url is http://www.criticalclub.com. Feel free to make your way over!

What went down is not the end of the fandom, but rather the beginning of a new chapter in the community history.

I dunno man. I don't see why we need to move at all. If Tiger is gone, who cares?

Guy who owns the domain/site is gone.

Doesnt matter if we want to soldier on here, because it's going to go back down, eventually.

Right.

Okay, so:

The person in charge of the domain's registration may be going away for literal decades.

Sooner or later, this would become a problem. As it is now, we're looking at a situation where this site has no moderation whatsoever.

Eventually the move would need to come, especially if it turns out that Tiger is guilty. If you don't want to do so, I understand -- but the door is still open to you!

Nobody else can take over the domain? I thought someone had, as evidenced by it being back up right now. But yeah I guess if there's no way to get the content of the site back up, guess there's not much choice.

I don't know who paid for the domain fees, but no, afaik it is still in Tiger's name; and C-Drive has quietly stepped down last I recall.

If that's the case, then yeah, this forum is essentially anarchy, even if nobody is acting like it is yet.

Lol as if sword was watching over everything and keeping order until now? This is what anarchy looks like. We're just here for the sims.

You're not wrong, but he did OWN the domain and whatnot, so we're kinda SOL if/when the board goes down again.

I was only responding to the anarchy thing with that. I get the domain thing if it's not gonna be transferrable for some reason, then oh well, what're you gonna do

I hate what has happened but I am absolutely fine with the move. After all, I was a member of Fire Pro Club, I've been a member here, and, folks.. on to the Critical Club we go.

KingRadical wrote:Sword and C-Drive only closed topics they personally didn't like anyway. They really didn't do much around here, in my opinion. I never had much regard for either of them.

And go figure C-Drive bails without putting in a replacement since he did the same shit on the Discord at first.

C-Drive does not even play the game. He has gone above and for us over the last few years. If not for him there would be no arena and possibly no Fire Pro World.

I'm making the move only because the point has been made that the site will go down again once the next bill does not get paid. I don't have anything to move over, so I'm not losing anything.
