WEEKLY RECAP
It was a big weekend for E3 Wrestling, as, for the third week in a row, we live streamed on our youtube channel. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and watched the archive! If you missed the show, you can catch the archive (complete with commentary) and the quick results here: http://e3prowrestling.weebly.com/e3-blo ... yracuse-ny

At the aforementioned event, E3 North American Champion Jerry Brock successfully defended the title against Ryan Chambers, ending their series of matches that have main evented E3 LIVE for the past 3 weeks. The card also featured 6 solid matches, including a Match of the Year contender between Henio Flynn and Solomon Myles.

This past show was supposed to take place in Scranton, PA, but an issue with the venue called for a last minute trip up to Syracuse, NY. E3 LIVE will be in Scranton this Saturday morning, instead.

This Saturday's show will also be the "go home" show for our big Northern Exploder show in Toronto on 4/23! Every E3 Championship will be defended at Northern Exploder, and we will determine contenders for all those titles this weekend at E3 LIVE! Here's the card for this weekend's show:

E3 Championship #1 Contenders Match
Three Way Elimination
Noah Gladstone (3-0) vs Kano Wilshire (3-1) vs Mizuken (3-1)
*If two wrestlers score falls in this match, resulting in both men having 4 wins overall, then the E3 Championship match at Northern Exploder will be a Three Way Elimination match, unless it's Gladstone who gets one of the wins, as he'll have a half-win lead on everyone else...

E3 Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match
New Wave Express (2-0-1) vs Johnny Fab & Buddy Goodell (1-0)

E3 Joshi Championship #1 Contenders Match
Three Way Elimination
Dia (1-1) vs Shawnda LaRose (1-1) vs Rinry Paro (1-1)
*Same applies as the other Elimination Match

E3 North American Championship #1 Contenders Match
Persia Mask (2-1) vs Henio Flynn (2-1)

Lexicon (0-0) vs Christian Moda (0-0)

Ed Ray (0-0) vs Neeknow Coleman (0-2)

We can confirm that E3 Officials have signed the first match for Northern Exploder! Ryan Chambers will finally get his hands on Lexicon in Toronto! E3 Officials have vowed to personally escort Lexicon to the show, so that there are no "transportation issues" this time around. We know fans were eager to see this match the first time around, and E3 will be damned if it's cancelled again!

WEEKLY RECAP
E3's Northern Exploder event saw some pretty wild moments, some of which we will talk about here in just a bit. If you still haven't watched the event and plan to do so, STOP READING and go check it out there: http://e3prowrestling.weebly.com/e3-…/northern-exploder-2017
Ok, now that that's out of the way, let's talk about some of the things that happened at Northern Exploder this past Sunday.
E3 Japan had a showcase match that was planned to get people a little more familiar with some of the roster before E3 Japan's planned debut this summer. E3 Japan will be the first branch of E3 to get the Fire Pro Wrestling World treatment, with E3 USA debuting on the World engine at the beginning of next year.

Lexicon vs Ryan Chambers was yet again cancelled when Lexicon was denied entry into Canada. We now have more details on this situation. E3 Officials escorted Lexicon to the border to make sure he made it to the show, but Lexicon was turned away when border officials found an undeclared prescription medication in Lexicon's bag. While some think this is just bad luck, others (like Ryan Chambers) believe that Lexicon purposely failed to report the medication in order to be turned back, knowing he wouldn't have to fight Chambers if that was the case. The next big E3 event is 'A Night at the Qualifiers,' which is an event that sets up the S-Circuit Cup tournament, meaning that while there's a chance Lex and Chambers will meet in either event, there's no chance of that match being scheduled by the E3 Booking Committee until the next regular premier event, which would be 'Breaking Borders,' a new event on the E3 calendar that's set for 8/27 in El Paso, TX.

The match that went on instead of Lex vs Chambers was Ed Ray vs Christian Moda, who were both 1-0 going into the match. Ed Ray won decisively, making his case for future challenger to Drake Drevus even stronger now.

Jerry Brock made E3 history at Northern Exploder, successfully defending his Northern American Championship against Henio Flynn, becoming the only man to defend the NA title successfully more than once. Jerry Brock has been extremely impressive this season, and he's building up not only himself, but the North American title, as well.

Johnny Fab and Buddy Goodell are still undefeated as a tag team, and they now have the gold to show for it. Fab and Goodell beat The Backyard in a match that lasted over 40 minutes when Fab won with a Crossface Chicken Wing. Also worth noting, Johnny Fab was heckled by the fans in attendance, chanting "Johnny Flab" at him. Fab and Goodell had a lot of heat with the Toronto crowd, especially after Goodell told the crowd on numerous occasions to "Suck it."

Mizuken, being a longshot in the odds, took Drake Drevus to his limit at Northern Exploder. It wasn't enough, however, as Drevus put Mizuken away with a Powerbomb onto a steel chair. Mizuken was going for a Frankensteiner, attempting to spike Drevus's head on the chair, but Drevus caught him and hit the Powerbomb counter. The match lasted for over 27 minutes, which is virtually unheard of for a Drake Drevus match. Drevus made successful defense number 11 against Mizuken, extending his record even farther. His next title defense likely won't happen until 'Breaking Borders' on 8/27, meaning that his reign will likely extend another 4 months at the very least. If Drevus can retain the E3 title throughout this season and into next season, he'll have held the title for nearly 3 years.

E3's next event is this Saturday morning with E3 LIVE! in Mississauga, ON, and will be headlined by a rematch for the E3 Tag Team Championship between Johnny Fab & Buddy Goodell vs The Backyard. Here's the full card:

E3 Tag Team Championship
Johnny Fab & Buddy Goodell (c) (3-0) vs The Backyard (1-1)

Ed Ray (2-0) vs Persia Mask (2-2)

The Wig Splitters (Haeata Hahani & Liz Bishop) (1-0)
vs
Violent Justice (Shawnda LaRose & Vivian Von Bay) (1-0)

Serge (1-1) vs Solomon Myles (1-1)

Neeknow Coleman (0-3) vs Jayson Gordon (0-3)

And to close out this weekly recap, we caught up with the new E3 Tag Team Champions: Johnny Fab and Buddy Goodelll...
Spoiler: show
*Scene opens with a shot of Johnny Fab and Buddy Goodell holding their freshly won E3 Tag Team Championship belts. We seem to be outside on an overcast day in Mississauga, ON, the site of Saturday's show.

Fab: Welp, Buddy, we did it.

Goodell: We sure did, Johnny.

Fab: Congratulations on your first E3 Championship. In fact, you're the first one from your rookie class to win some gold, right?

Goodell: Damn right.

Fab: Well, that's what happens when you team with a star like me. And speaking of star, now that we're champions, we need to look like the stars of the show.

Goodell: ...

Fab: Wait here, I'll be right back.

*Johnny Fab leaves around the corner and comes back about a minute later, carrying two shiny, green singlets.

Goodell: No.

Fab: Oh yes.

Goodell: No, I'm not wearing that.

Fab: Kid, who's been in this company longer: me or you?

Goodell: You.

Fab: Who's won more championships: me or you?

Goodell: You have.

Fab: Ok, then. You gotta trust me, baby! I know what it takes, not just inside the ring, but outside the ring. You gotta LOOK like a star.

Goodell: This is E3 Wrestling. I'm pretty sure they don't care what you look like, as long as you can win.

Fab: Come on, Buddy. I've taken you this far...

*Goodell grabs Fab by his collared shirt, bringing him in closer so that he can hear clearly.

Goodell: I'm not wearing that damn shiny singlet. Do we understand each other?

Fab: Loud and clear.

Goodell: Well, alright then.

Fab: Just... meet me halfway at least.

Goodell: What are you talking about now?

Fab: You don't have to wear a shiny singlet, but please, for the sake of matching, will you at least wear a singlet? Any singlet, color is your choice...

*Buddy puts his hands on his hips and sighs.

Goodell: You aren't going to drop this, are you? Alright, since I do respect some semblance of your wrestling ability, I'll play along for now. Get me a dark green singlet and you got a deal. But let me tell you, if that sunuvabitch shines or sparkles, even the tiniest bit, I'll put you out of commission and defend these belts myself, got it?

*Fab's face of misunderstanding turns to excitement.

Fab: Hey, you got it, Buddy. We're going to look like a REAL tag team when we defend these belts on Saturday. Hot damn!

*Scene fades with Buddy Goodell shaking his head...

Weekly Recap

Another week of E3 Wrestling is in the books. E3 LIVE in Mississauga, ON was this past Saturday, and if you missed the event, we got the hookup: http://e3prowrestling.weebly.com/e3-…/e3-live-mississauga-on

If you'd like to watch the event and not encounter any spoilers, I highly recommend you stop reading now and go catch up. All Rankings and Title Histories are now updated on the website, so be sure to check out where everyone stands here at the halfway point in the season!

In the opening bout in Mississauga, Neeknow Coleman was able to break his winless streak by defeating the also-winless Jayson Gordon (though Gordon has won a tag team match this season). This was a big win for Coleman and a chance for him to turn his fortunes around for this season, before it's too late.

The process of crowning the first ever Joshi Tag Team Champions continues as Violent Justice (Shawnda LaRose and Vivian Von Bay) defeated The Wig Splitters (Haeata Hahani and Liz Bishop) in what was a bit of an upset. Violent Justice is now 2-0 and only two wins away from securing a spot in the title tournament to be held later this year with E3 Japan.

Ed Ray suffered his first singles loss when he was defeated by E3 Veteran Persia Mask. Ed Ray still had a strong showing, but we're finally seeing some weaknesses in the big man. This won't really derail Ray, as it's only one loss, but it may have stifled his momentum a bit.

Mississauga's main event saw the E3 Tag Team Championship change hands as The Backyard were able to win the titles back in their rematch against Johnny Fab and Buddy Goodell. As per E3 rules, Fab and Goodell will now get their rematch at the next show: E3 LIVE in Hamilton, ON. This was the first loss for the team of Fab and Goodell, knocking them down to a still-strong 3-1 record.

The 2017 S-Circuit Cup is on the horizon, taking place in Tokyo, Japan on 7/8 and 7/9. But, before we get there, we have to see who will qualify for the tournament. For those new to E3 Wrestling, this means our annual 'A Night at the Qualifiers' event, where every match on the card, except for the main event (which is usually an E3 Championship match), will be a 4-way Elimination match. The winner of each of these matches will make up the remaining 8 participants in the S-Circuit Cup (the first 8 are decided by the Male Singles Ranking List). After 'A Night at the Qualifiers' is in the books, E3 will be taking a month-long hiatus to prepare for the S-Circuit Cup.

Here's the card for this Saturday's E3 LIVE in Hamilton, ON:

E3 Tag Team championship
The Backyard (c) (2-1) vs Fab and Goodell (3-1)

Noah Gladstone (3-1) vs Henio Flynn (3-2)

New Wave Express (2-1-1) vs Jayson Gordon & Ryuji Hoshi (1-1)

Ryan Chambers (1-2) vs Elevarse (1-2)

Dead Head (0-1) vs Aimee Stephens (0-0)

WEEKLY RECAP
E3 LIVE in Hamilton, ON went down this past Saturday and had some big implications. You can check out the full event, complete with commentary, here: http://e3prowrestling.weebly.com/e3-blo ... amilton-on

We'll be talking about some spoilers from the Hamilton event, so make sure you at least check out the quick results at the link above before reading on.
Amie Stephens made her E3 Season 6 debut, defeating Dead Head in 20:40 with the Bicentennial. Stephens, in a very political statement, said, "My opponent has a lot of talent. I'm sure one day she'll fully realize that talent and be something special. But today... today was a win for the people. Vote Stephens for E3 Joshi Champion #1 Contender!"

Two men with 1-2 records did battle in one helluva match as Ryan Chambers took on Elevarse. It's definitely a match work checking out if you missed the event. Chambers was able to put Elevarse away after two Falcon Arrows. Chambers also busted Elevarse open during the match, leading to 4 stitches for Elevarse's right eye. Chambers now goes to 2-2 and sits on the bubble of automatically qualifying for the S-Circuit Cup Tournament in July.

The New Wave Express got a big win over Jayson Gordon and Ryuji Hoshi, jumping to a 3-1-1 record and into contention for the E3 Tag Team Championship. Unfortunately, for Ryuji Hoshi, that came at the expense of Hoshi suffering a sprained neck on a Wave Crusher delivered by Surf King. Hoshi will now be out of action for the next 4 weeks and will miss "A Night at the Qualifiers," essentially ending any hopes he had of being a part of the 2017 S-Circuit Cup Tournament. We hope Hoshi has a full recovery and gets back to the level of competition he's known for soon.

Noah Gladstone picked up yet another huge win, bringing his record to an impressive 4-1 when he beat "The Pure-Wrestling Pro" Henio Flynn. In another match that saw blood, Gladstone cut Flynn's forehead with a sharp punch to the skull, resulting in 11 stitches and one helluva headache. Gladstone put Flynn away with his signature Straight Punch -> Rings of Saturn combo, making it the most deadly combination in all of E3. Gladstone's momentum going into the S-Circuit Cup is huge, and he's an early favorite to win the tournament.

In our main event, The Backyard successfully defended the E3 Tag Team Championship against Johnny Fab and Buddy Goodell, ending their series of matches (at least for now). Miko Sunseri hit his wicked Tiger Driver '91 and it was all over by the crying. It seems The New Wave Express are next in line for a title shot, but they'll have fight Fab & Goodell to determine that, that is if Fab & Goodell are staying together. Rumblings in the locker room after the show insist that the team were not happy with each other after the loss and could be headed for a split.

E3 LIVE in Detroit is still set for next week, but probably won't happen on the usual Saturday morning. We're still looking into it, but it could be Friday night or Sunday morning.

Alright, we're all caught up for the S-Circuit Cup later this month. Here are the shows in the order they were held:

E3 LIVE! - Detroit, MI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4U40qQQxgc

A Night at the Qualifiers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ9x_Yno7IQ&t=10s

For those not in the know, A Night at the Qualifiers takes the winners of each of the matches from that event and puts them in the final 8 slots for the S-Circuit Cup. I'll have a full bracket and explanation for the S-Circuit Cup in the coming days.
