I may be misunderstanding you here, so I apologize.

The kit actually doesn't accept .ps2 files as input for anything right now, it only outputs them when using Option 14 & Option 18.

If you mean you've took a .VME file and you've converted it using option 18 into .PS2 file, and now you're trying to load it up within PCSX2 and it's opening in wordpad? In PCSX2, under the Config > Memory cards section, you just browse to and select the .PS2 file you want to use for each memory card slot, so it shouldn't open anything up during that process. If it is, I'm not really sure how to help you there, as that seems like a bug of some sort within PCSX2.

No the emu itself is working fine. I just saying that when I first converting the .vme file to a .ps2 file is when I had the wordpad accident. And that accident was on my part double clicking on it without thinking. It has nothing to do with trying to import it. The mymc you have in the tool doesn't seem to find the ps2 when I click on the output folder is the issue. Sorry for my bad wording.

After using the tool, any file that is created and appears in the output folder should be ready to use in the emulator. No other steps are needed. mymc just exists in the tools folder to do the background work that the fpwr-sck.bat file and included scripts work through.

Yeah, the .PS2 file can only be used in the PCSX2 emulator, it doesn't work with anything else.

I'd just like to say that after my PS2 finally gave in and died yesterday, my frantic downloading of a PS2 emulator and other headaches was at least dulled by how easy this program was to use. Thankfully I still had a backup of my Returns save, although it was last years version I hadn't changed it that much, so thanks to your program I managed to turn it from PAL to NTSC, then from .max to .ps2 before putting it on the virtual memory card. It took two hours combining download times and getting my head around everything (and my PC controller also being broken!), but I went from disappointment that I couldn't give Returns the big farewell to playing it on my screen like nothing had happened. So... thanks!

Typically when I see this thread has a new post, I immediately think it's an issue with the kit I'm going to need to fix.

Thank you for taking the time to let me know that it made your experience so much easier!

I also want to thank you as well, C-Drive. I play primarily with the PSN version of FPR on my PS3, but use my emulator for screen shots and some more editing as needed as well as downloading save files. My laptop is a bit slow for game play itself, but I got a new machine coming next month.

The converter kit has made it sooooooo easy for me to move save files back and forth between my PS3 and laptop, so thank you :)

God damn it  ....i made that so hard for my self for a good couple of months now.

Couldn't figure out why it kept saying could not find save.max when had the save in everyspot i could think of until I read the README text that states you must change the filename to save.max and where to put the file

I think README needs to be changed READMEcarefullyBeforeYouDoAnything to prevent another halfwit from that pain

You'll just need to rename the .max file to save.max, put it in the same folder as README.txt & fpwr-sck.bat. Open fpwr-sck.bat, type "1" and hit enter. You should have a SCEVMC1.VME file show up in the output folder.

Already pmed but I'll say it here too.

Brought over my ps2 classic save of nocturne to pc.

Used the kit.

Used option 18.

Renamed to the pcsx2 memory card. Profit.

Now I'm just trying to do the reverse which is to bring back the save to my ps3 without being corrupted.

No Idea how to go from a psx2 memory card back to an individual save of nocturne to a ps2 classic save again.

sorry if im being annoying with this request. getting bogged down with all the information so if someone can stir me where to begin it would help alot and i should be able to figure out the rest since i typically tend to do well with this sort of thing.

my fire pro returns save data is on my ps2 memory card. how can i get that memory card data onto my pc? i need to track it down but i do have a pro action replay disc if that helps. this will really help speed up my transferring my old edits to FPW. thanks so much and i apologize again if my request is annoying.

Can't you just run a windows emulator on the Mac for it?

I'm just beginning to dip my toes into this vast community and I had thought I was limited to the .vme only files ... not so, thanks to you, C-Drive. They should build churches for this type of effort.

Are you familiar with "WINE", or "WINESKIN WINERY"?
I do a bit of modding for Madden NFL '08 over at footballidiot and I've read posts where Mac owners use those to run the game and our Mods.

I run Win7, so unfortunately I can't confirm anything. Perhaps, someone will see this and drop some proper knowledge.
