This is 'Bloodbath", yes he looks a lot like Doc Overdose, but that's the point, he is Doc's bitter half brother, he is bitter because Doc finished med school and has a licence to maim, while BB was thrown out for jamming a pair of scissors in a teachers eye, so he dishes out illegal carnage, hoping to get his revenge on his half brother one day, yet wanting Doc's approval as well.....

The bloodsplashes on Bloodbath are great. Even better than the Doc's.

Hey everyone. I'm absolutely determined to impress you all with this next one (I hope). As the description on the Youtube video states, this edit is my pride and joy.

Image

He's converted from FPD, which was infinitely harder due to the different formats of the RGB palette between the two games. To achieve his skin tone, I had to "average" some of the values in order to create a middle ground (FPD has 6 colors for skin, whereas FPG only has 4). The logic also had to compensate for the lack of a 5th strike. To be frank, though, this version of Allen has only three strikes, because two of his strikes from FPD aren't in the game. However, I distributed his logic as evenly as I could, and I think he functions really well. The other move he doesn't have is his Stomach Claw, but that's perfectly fine as well. I'm sure his voices are wrong, but I still gave him the voices specified in the FP Complete guide, and they're in the right places. The themes from FPD aren't the same as the ones in FPG, but knowing that he has Hogan's theme in FPD, I gave him FPG Hogan's theme as a suitable replacement. Finally, because he doesn't have a nickname in FPD, I just gave him the name "Judo Blaster", which is kind of a play off of his Judo background and his finisher name, the Ghetto Blaster.

Here's a video of him in action against Dynamite Kid; he loses, but he leaves Dynamite gasping for air :DDDDD

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6VmnvKqtMQ

Once again, I hope I've impressed you guys, and I hope you enjoyed this one!

Til next time!

EDIT: No one's gonna see this, but I have since discovered that Allen did have a nickname, which I have now changed it to — "黒い悪の巨星".

Neato!

Quick attire nitpick:
he's got black-and-white 2-toned boots like many of the japanese guys...

Though I assume you used this version with single-color boots?

Hey, thanks for responding!

I was actually going off of this picture: Image

I assume it was going off that latter attire in your post. Because BN Allen isn't in FPG, I used Goldberg's head as a replacement, just like this official Spike edit did. My other general rule of thumb is that if an official Spike edit uses the head of another wrestler, that wrestler is fair game to use when I try to port. That's why my TAJIRI edit uses Tiger Jeet Singh's head (that's the head FPD's TAJIRI edit uses haha).

For the record, the Translation FAQ incorrectly lists Bad News as one of the preset edits. I'm positive that's actually Kamala (considering he uses that attire in FP2, and he appears in VPW2 in the same attire).

He doesn't have a name yet, but I'll think of something eventually. I kinda wanna do something punny with his finisher and call it "To Inferno And Beyond", but I don't think it'll fit. I'm also thinking his moveset will be based on Drago and Suicide, maybe a few others.

What about the "Seventh Circle" as a finisher name?

In Dante Aligheri's Inferno, Hell is divided into nine sections, or circles based on the eternal punishment for those who are sent. The seventh circle is for the Violent, those who are damned for committing violent acts.

I could do that, and considered it, but it's a bit cliched. Still, I might use it anyways.

Do we have any other edits who are often using the Divine Comedy for references, LOL?

When you put it that way, I don't think so. In the grand scheme of things, it's kind of overdone. Regardless, I still like the idea.

I just remembered Emu's old rival Dante Leone. He was based on Sean O'Haire and the Divine Comedy. I'm getting more ideas now.

Ah, I see. This all comes full circle now, haha. I'll keep thinking of other names if that one doesn't stick.

Not a fictional guy, but Tamon Honda has his Olympic Rings of Hell submissions/pin combos named after the rings of hell.

Here's a few more edits I came up with last night:

Spoiler: show
Helena Cardinal:
Image

She'll probably end up being a Ric Flair clone.

Jerome Bishop:
Image

He'll probably end up being a Rusev clone. I got the idea for him and the above edit as snobby rich preppy college athletes, which is where the names come from.

The Grand Wizard:
Image

Since my original fed is turning into some weird hodge-podge of workrate wrestlers and wacky gimmicks, I figured he'd be a good part of it too. I intend for him to have an oldschool 80s type American wrestling style along the lines of Jerry Lawler. Maybe I'll make clones of a few of my edits and turn them purple and they can be his magical clone cronies.

Cetra Muertes:
Image

She's been on my to-do list of edits for a while. I originally planned to make her a Mil Muertes clone given the color scheme, but ended up doing something way different. I might give her a couple of ghost cronies a la the Disciples of Death. If you've seen Lucha Underground, then you know where it's going.

And an updated Soo Plaxx:

Put your phone a few feet away from the TV and don't use a flash. That's what I did for this photo that I posted in the markouts thread.

Still crappy, but not blinding ;)
