Thank you! You're one of my favorite artists around here. Maybe we could collaborate or share resources some time.

Ah you're absolutely right, of course you are. I meant to say "not just extract them". I'll edit my post to clarify.

chikarafan wrote:Amazing! After seeing these I got to figure out how to work this mod. Could I please have the link to your page?

Glad you like them. The link is in my signature. Since you're the Chikarafan, are there any other unique Chikara rings or aprons that I've missed?

Zin5ki... why? You said you use Gimp right? Is this a linux thing? Will somebody hook Zink5ki up with Wine and a copy of the game? Hell, I'll pay for it. 60 rings gets you a copy of the game from me.

I'm unsure whether I'd have the time! It could take a day or so to perfect an edit's behaviour on Fire Pro Returns, so I doubt it's any quicker now...

I appreciate your rings a ton. One thing I would like to request: Can you give us an idea of what the rest of the ring should look like? Rope colors, corner colors, etc... Maybe whatever source pictures you're using so we can see for ourselves if that's easier for you?

Thanks.

You forgot to post Toryumon 2000 Project Ring Texture but it's such a wonderful job you did there.

You are most welcome! The ring in question debuted in AJW's 30th anniversary Yokohama show in late 1998. It featured black ropes, white ring posts, and cylindrical turnbuckle covers; colour-coded for the red and blue corners.

Could someone help me please as every time I try to import a ring mat I get the following error message.

This export file has no version information. It was created pre-V10 of the Ring Mat Database.

Can someone let me know what I'm doing wrong please.

Thanks

I think you may have used my Stampede logo edit that I posted in the Returns Logo Thread for Freem's tool.

Same issue here. I've got everything else working, but I can't figure out how to import the arena/floor mats. Do they need to be renamed any certain way, etc.?

Do you have the latest version of Carlzillas mod suite? Keep in mind that you can't update Carlzilla's mod suite from the patcher. You have to manually download it and replace the old Carlzilla.dll file with the new one.

Make sure you are decompressing the whole .rar file. There are folders that the game needs for the mods to work right.

Inside the Ringmats folder in the .rar file, there will be two folders. One for Arenas, and one for cages. Take those folders, and put them in the Ringmats folder in your Firepro Directory.

So parts files, which are the turnbuckle pad textures, just go in the Ringmats folder with the mat textures. Any ramp or stage parts need to be put into the arena folder. Inside the arena folder you will have six folders, each corresponding to the six arenas available. You want to put the stage, ramp, and floor parts into the arena they belong to. Each folder comes with the default texture files inside, and it's easy to tell which folder is for which arena by looking at the stage file inside, but here's a guide just in case:

AR00- Big Garden
AR01- SCS Arena
AR02- Mexican Arena
AR03- Spike Dome
AR04- Korakuen Hall
AR05- Dojo

Now the next part is important. Your Ring name, parts file, stage file, floor file, and arena file all have to be named with the same name. So for instance if you're doing NXT, the in game ring name has to be NXT. Then the Mat texture has to be NXT.png. The parts file will be NXT_parts.png. Here's some pictures to illustrate it for you.

Here is the Ringmats Folder. You can see the NXT mat texture, and in the row beneath it, the turnbuckle parts file, named appropriately.

Image

Now here is the AR01 file. Again all parts named appropriately. The only file I downloaded in this image is the stage file. For the floor and arena texture files, I copied the default textures and renamed them to go with the other NXT resources. This is because the game loads the sections of an arena in a specific order, and if you just add the stage file it won't work. Here's what it should look like.

Image

Finally once you start the game, go into the Mat Textures window and hit the ringside textures tab. Go to the arena you are changing and choose the arena.png file you made in the arenas folder.

Image

Now it all should work.
