Hogans boots looking too sweet. Really good job.

Edit: Simmed a match between Hollywood and Vader.

Image

Slightly controversal finish: Vader no selled two legdrops of doom before hitting the Hulkster with two chairshots. I guess I need to sim a rematch. :D

Hogan's Leg Drop as Hollywood wasn't quite as final as it was in the 80s. He'd drop multiple legs on people and there were a lot more kickouts, so with Vader in Big Van Beast Mode, that's less unbelievable than one would think.

That said, there's also issues with running moves to down being no sold if the attacker takes too long before landing it. Hopefully, they adjust them a bit like they did the top rope moves to keep people down long enough to eat a pin.

In any case, I recommend that rematch!

I firmly remember that Hogans atomic legdrop wasn't quite as effective back then but to be honest, Vader no selling compensated me a lot for SuperBrawl V :D Always thought Vader deserved much more in WCW (and I'm not even mention his WWF run...)

Does connecting a taunt to a running move effects downtime as well?

Only in that it takes longer between whatever move put the opponent down and the running move hits.

Strangely enough, my 80s Hogan generally manages to pull off the combo of Big Boot -> Cupping Taunt -> Atomic Leg Drop -> Pin, or just the taunt-leg drop-pin without a problem more often than not in my own sims. Others might have varying results.

I'd be proud, too, Sen - that's a killer-looking Hollywood Hogan that REALLY stands out for the others. Keep up the great work.

After a busy couple of days in which I didn't finish much of anything past a large number of adjustments, mostly with AJ Styles, I have now posted Tommy Dreamer and the Iron Sheik.

Really enjoy your edits Senator... can I ask you how do you actually set up logic? Any "houserules" et cetrea? I try to get my head around edits but it is kind of intimidating. Even after reading the guide section.

Any help or some hints would be highly appreciated.

That's quite the question! And one deserving of a serious response. So much so that I think I'll gather up every bit of rationale I've written in this topic, and put together something resembling a proper guide to "Senator's edit making philosophy." Might not be of much use for most, especially considering the comprehensive work many people have already done in this area, but it'll be fun to organize all my thought processes, and maybe even help me tighten some things up.

One of my goals for a while in this game has been to put together the ultimate all time HW boxing tournament. This is the theoretical ring I'll choose to hold it in. Nothing more appropriate than Ring Magazine to hold such a contest, and to do so in Vegas's top modern arena. I made a ring mat, corner pads and apron for the Ring ring.

Also made Floyd Patterson as my weekend boxer and Francine Francis for the Senatorial Office. (thanks for the name, Denizen!)

Thanks for the link! That was indeed a fun match, even if I think Francine went for the Bosswoman Slam a few too many times, heh.

This would be so helpful. I am struggling on so many levels. The conflict between different styles matching together and being able to work a solid match e.g. a Japanese Strong Style wrestler facing of with a WWE top dog. Or where to start. A framework for specific logic behaviour, so a guide to Senator's edit philosophy would be so super helpful.

Been trying to get back on track, as I've not been as active as I would have liked this week.

I have finished the Velveteen Dream and am working on Aleister Black, more likely than not either getting him done tonight or early tomorrow. Early boxer this week will be Max Baer, who's in the queue after the NXT duo, and I also have another original in the works for the Office.

Speaking of my Heavyweight Boxing edits, here's a list of who I've made to date, and who's coming up in the near and distant future. My goal is to set up a 32 man tournament when I get enough to do so, and once I get Baer done, I'm halfway there, and will have completed Round 1. I want to go into double time for R2, and I'll have two versions of Foreman and Tyson, but I'm only entering Young Foreman and Kid Dynamite in the tournament.

Round 1_____________Round 2
John L Sullivan_______Sam Langford
James Corbett_______Max Schmelling
James Jefferies______Primo Carnera
Jack Johnson________Ezzard Charles
Jess Willard_________Jersey Joe Walcott
Jack Dempsey_______George Foreman
Gene Tunney________Ken Norton
Max Baer___________Larry Holmes
Joe Louis___________Mike Tyson
Rocky Marciano______Evander Holyfield
Archie Moore________Lennox Lewis
Floyd Patterson______Roy Jones Jr.
Sonny Liston________Vitali Klitchko
Muhammad Ali______Wladimir Klitchko
Joe Frazier_________Anthony Joshua
Earnie Shavers______Deontay Wilder

Stretch Goals
Spoiler: show
Bob Fitzsimmons
Sam McVey

Harry Wills

James J Braddock

Busy weekend for FPW:

-"Soaring Sparrow" Rumika Hashi (Senatorial Office)
-The Original Shiek
-Rey Mysterio Jr (90s WCW era)
-Sam Langford (the weekend boxer, and one of the most underrated boxers in history, at least outside the hardcore historian circles)
-Road Warrior Hawk (80s)
-Road Warrior Animal (80s)

Tag teams are a pain to port over. I end up having to type out color values and attire items on a notepad file while I proceed, but in the case of the LoD, it was well past due time to put them up.

Productive weekend for my edits:
-Bath Salts Zombie (Senatorial Office)
-Sting (80s)
-Ricky Morton
-Robert Gibson
-Max Schmeling
-Primo Carnera
-Arthur Donovan (Boxing Referee)

Got an addition to the Senatorial Office, an NWA era Sting who was really fun to work on, the Rock and Roll Express, who I love simming now that I have them done, but were a total slog to finish, boxers Max Schmeling and Primo Carnera, and referee Arthur Donovan, who was the preferred ref for the Joe Louis era.

Amazing work as always!
It's not enough to look like an edit to be an edit. You have to act like them too.

I may not have posted anything in a few days, but that doesn't mean I wasn't working. Been trying to get my boxers all up to speed for my 32 man tournament, hence, we have this:

-Ezzard Charles
-Jersey Joe Walcott
-George Foreman (70s)
-George Foreman (80s/90s)
