That said, I ran what is probably the best Rumble I've seen in the game so far on stream last night/earlier this morning.

You can watch the match here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/256513487

Or you can read a heavily abridged version in the spoiler below (Warning: Several GIFs):

Image

Zachariah Zealot was eliminated at 43:48.

Satoshi Iguchi eliminated by GORO at 44:39.

Entrant #23: Stanford Bradley entered at 45:00. This guy sucks too. Boo him.

Image

Entrant #24: Firehawk Sentarl entered at 46:00. He sucks too. Don't boo him though. It's not his fault.

The Denizen eliminated by Val Morgan at 47:40. Remember when I said this guy sucks? This guy sucks. A lot. Boo him. A lot.

Firehawk Sentarl eliminated by GORO at 47:54. See what I mean?

Marcus Montgomery was eliminated at 48:52. No penis flips for you, good sir!

Entrant #25: NorthStarLion (NSL) entered at 49:00. This guy is pretty cool. Cheer for him.

Image

Entrant #28: Julian Caesaro (Ceese) entered at 52:00.

Image

Val Morgan eliminated by Josh Belmonte at 54:12. Okay, I lied. Cheer him a little bit. Not too much though. It might go to his head.

Entrant #29: Steve Phillips entered at 55:00. The first Filibuster ALWAYS happens in the ropes. Memes: I got 'em.

Stanford Bradley was eliminated at 55:08. I don't remember who eliminated him, but it sure as hell wasn't Senator. Stanford wanted nothing to do with that. Maybe he threw himself out.

Entrant #30: Carl Zilla entered at 56:00. The Breaker of Arms cometh.

Image

Steve Phillips eliminated by Ser Mally at 56:52.

Ser Mally was eliminated at 57:00.

Josh Belmonte eliminated by Geese Walker at 57:13.

NorthStarLion was eliminated at 61:37.

FINAL FOUR TIME, BUCKAROOS! (Yeah, I said it. No I don't care.)

Heroic Emu M was eliminated at 64:35. Emu lasted over 42 minutes. He didn't quite last long enough. I'm almost certain he was the Iron Man in his match. He was thrown over the ropes four different times and managed to slip back in the ring. Alas, doing all those flips is tiring.

Julian Caesaro was eliminated at 65:46.

Carl Zilla eliminated by Geese Walker at 68:58.

Image

Geese is going on to... bigger things. I don't know what bigger things, but bigger things nonetheless.

Love everything about this, especially the GIFS :hahaha: :hahaha:

Thanks for taking the time to write and link all of that up!! :D

What a match! :markout:

I love that these long Battle Royales can really have multiple winners. Spirals gets over huge for early dominance, Heroic Emu lasted the longest and probably evaded the most elimination attempts, and Geese...well damn  Also love how Ceese entered right after Geese 8-)

Bigger things coming! :numberone:

The Rumble mod's window actually comes with an option to save the events of the match. There was no way I was gonna copy all that down myself.

It was still fun to do the additional commentary, though.

Just had a 32 edit battle royal (basically because I can't do basic math with the extra additions and put in 24 instead).

Started things off with Bullshit and Tomas. Tomas lasted like 38 minutes in the ring which is insane.

For comparison, Wataru Nakajima came in, moved around for about 2 minutes, and was suplexed out.

Final 4 was Wonderland, Zealot, El Hijo Del Lariato (edit coming soon!), and Hana Brightly (wut) .

Wondy eliminated El Hijo as he reversed his Driver 49er (cross arm powerbomb) with a back body drop to the floor. Then shockingly, Hana grappled Wondy from behind and flung him outside the ring!!!! :o

From there, Hana and Zealot basically tried over-the-top eliminations 3 times a piece, but to no avail. Zealot eventually won after reversing a vertical suplex to send Hana to the floor.

Zealot came into the rumble at 25 and Hana came in at 31. This mod is amazing. :D

I'm testing a new character and it feels like I'm onto something special. Haven't messed with his AI yet but he did a sequence in a match with Hardcore Holly that I couldn't have scripted better. Hardcore pulled out a bunch of chairs and they're scattered all over the place. In the middle of this knock down drag out brawl, my guy does his dumb Hulkamania taunt to a stunned Holly, turns him inside out with a clothesline and immediately follows it up with an uproot german suplex onto a chair.

It's a really nice mix of goofy and dangerous. Which is perfect since he's a young kodiak bear

This whole match counts as a mark out moment for me since we can do rumbles in fire pro now. It's a 60 man rumble, which I'm referring to as the Bestest Royal Rumble. Anyway, here it is: https://youtu.be/evwKo-_Pyu4

England's own Barry Mitchell took on sinister German dude Ziegenfuss in a "Don't Mention The War" match, and I've never seen second interference play out so perfectly. After being suplexed to the outside, Ziggy retrieved a chair from under the apron and returned to the ring with it while his skinhead disciple Hammerskin distracted the referee. After jabbing Barry with the chair a few times right behind the oblivious ref's back, Ziegenfuss kicked him in the head and bounded off the ropes for the Lightning Speed pin combo, and right as he bundled Barry up in the small package the referee broke away from Hammerskin's meddling and slapped the mat for a three-count. It couldn't have been timed more perfectly, and I marked out mega hard.

Must have been the green wrestler falling out of the ring that made them think to dive on that side.
That's wild that it could even happen. I would like the CPU to really commit to their dive whether there is a good chance or not.

I had a funny moment last night. I was running a league in the background and I happened to catch the VERY end of a 20 minute time limit draw. However, it looked like the match had froze :punch:

Once I realized what happened though, I couldn't stop laughing. Geese had trapped Kurt Sanders in a front facelock RIGHT as the bell rang but didn't follow up cause the match was over. So he and Kurt were just stuck in the "neutral" position until the end of the match faded into the result screen

Running a two-block league.

Wonderland and Yoshirozuna tie for first in their respective block and FPW wants to see who the #1 seed is for the resulting 4-man tournament. It's a really excellent slow-paced match with nice build and entertaining spots throughout (I love Wondy's new toe kicks that he follows up with a running attack or double leg take down!) but Yoshirozuna starts pulling away at the 10 minute mark. He hammers Wonderland with suplexes and then at the 12-13 minute mark hits his Sumoshiro Slam but Wondy kicks out at 2.9. Yoshi throws Wondy out of the ring to get some much needed breathing time (the biggest Achilles heel that Yoshi has).

Wondy comes back a house a'fire and hits some spectacular combinations, including a BRUTAL mount -> Russian Neck Drop - back mount -> Russian Neck Drop which clearly turns the tides. Sumos aren't meant to land on their heads like that. Wondy immediately hits some kind of double pump kick combination that leaves Yoshi down, and starts running...but Yoshi isn't dazed anymore! Wondy runs the ropes against the winded Yoshi and PLASTERS him in the face with a running high kick! What a decisive way to finish an awesome match!

Spoiler: show
Image

The best part of this to me is that Wondy won this match JUST so that he could face Geese in the first round of the tournament :D

Newland is awesome! I absolutely love the variety you have given him as well as the new priorities!!

He won the tournament last night! It got late so I didn't post but here's how the brackets went:

Yoshirozuna actually defeated Thunder Strike which was a surprise to me given Thunder's dominance in these leagues recently. It was a good match but Yoshi powered through.

Geese and Wonderland had a match even better than Yoshi and Wonderland!! In some ways the match flow was the same in that it was totally even early on (and the two traded arm locks and strikes in very entertaining ways). Geese pulled away, hitting a 7 minute GanSTO (of course!) and another special or two but Wondy made a huge comeback. He hit the new pump kick -> running kick but Geese survived it...only to immediately fall victim to Wondy's finisher! Ranking in the high 80% but should have broken 90 based on the comeback and finisher win.

So we get a rematch in the finals of Yoshirozuna vs. Wonderland and it was excellent!! What absolutely ruled was how this match completely built on the previous matches. This time it was competitive throughout with neither taking the lead. Wondy hit his finisher around the 10-12 mark but Yoshi kicked out. Yoshi chucked Wondy out of the ring twice with a throwing belly to belly! Wondy hit the pump kick -> running kick which took Yoshi down last time...but Yoshi kicked out at 2.9! Yoshi hit the Sumoshiro slam on Wondy...but Wondy kicked out! The finish came off a diving high kick from Wondy (after following another move but I can't recall exactly) and Wondy got the win. Another 80% rating but meh, they were wrong. I've had some lower ratings for great matches recently - maybe the recent patch downgraded things.

In any case, it was an excellent league and Wonderland earned the victory :numberone: :markout:

Oh man that's awesome! Not getting the win off same move agaisnt Yosh then going for the bigger top rope variant ftw is woohoo. This version of Wondy is built to go 12-16 minutes as opposed to og's 18-22, sounds like maybe that's working out. It's of course not as refined as the original and all the years or tweaking behind it, so fine tuning is certain to occur if he's maybe being too dominant, but I still haven't decided if this is like the official new version or what so I didn't mind him being a little op for the time being, just as an alternate version. It's all up in the air, we'll see how it goes.

Thanks for including him in the league/tourney and those entertaining writeups geeseistan!

Newland hits HARD but I haven't noticed any competitive balancing problems in the matches I saw. Geese and Yoshirozuna both led early and it was Newland who made the comeback. What I love is how aggressive he is (striking and mounts) without being OP at all. I also love how you chained that toe kick B to so many fun options! It's a good idea to keep him as an alternate version, at the least though. I think I have a few versions of Wondy right now (counting Wasteland) and am not 100% sure which is the other main version.

I also love how he beat Yoshi that second time with the top rope variant - that's like perfect King's Road style right there and exactly the way I love watching main event matches play out based on previous matches. It was also cool how Geese was able to kick out of the running kick but then fell to his finisher. Yoshi absorbed an early finisher and the running kick, but then fell to the top rope kick! It was some great FPW storytelling 8-)

Pleasure was mine! Sorry I didn't get to finish the write-up last night when it was fresh. I also really kicked myself for not recording the matches as I totally should have after the first great Wondy/Yoshi match. Gotta make a note to record everything in the future cause I hate missing out on capping the awesome ones :markout:
