I don't mean to non-sequitur here but I noticed besides Ceese's shuffle emoji we also have one that I can recognize as Wonderbeard and another I don't recognize at all. Please don't tell me something awful has happened to them too?

The other one is Biff. Nothing has happened to either of them, the shuffle emoji has been around for years, as were the other two.

I hate that Im only finding this out today. Geese was a staple of the Fire Pro Community and his presence and soul will be truly missed and cannot be replaced. As long as I can remember he was a part of the game, always kind and helpful.
I cant imagine this place without him. Can someone PM and give me a little bit of info? Im speechless.

Wow, just wow. I know I haven't posted a single thing in over 5-6 years, but wow. That sucks.

Oh my god. This is heartbreaking to hear. I knew he had been in poor health back and forth for the past couple of years, but this is the first I've heard. I completely lost touch with this community and feel awful about it now.

Ceese was a hell of a dude, always in a great mood, in for a laugh, and had the biggest heart of anyone. I'm sure I'm repeating a hell of a lot of what everyone else has said, but...man alive.

It's amazing how much it still effects you, even though you haven't ever met the dude in real life.

Shuffle on, Ceese, my boy. Your heart lives on here.

I am really glad to see both Budnick and Fishhook back. You have each been missed and I hope that things are going really well for you both. Given how much you each knew Ceese, I am sure you are shocked and saddened by this news. Both of you were early generation FPCPP'ers and you each spent a lot of time hanging out with Ceese in chats and posts. Like Fish said, even years later, even without meeting in person, this news hit devastatingly hard.

Thanks for clearing it up, ST.

Given that I disappeared for a few weeks (and the C/G -eese confusion that hit us in the best of times) i could definitely see why you mistook me in this case, Worm. Don't feel bad but thank you very much for the kind words. Thing with life is that sometimes we reserve the nicest praise for people when it's too late and they never get to hear it. We all need to appreciate people in our lives more when we have the opportunity to be in the moment. I appreciate what you said.

Everything that was said about me there can be said about Ceese X 1000 8-)

Out of morbid curiosity, I looked up Ceese on findagrave.com. His headstone appears to be just a plastic case with a paper insert.

Anyone got a big rock and some hammers and chisels? This bums me out.

I almost hate to post anything in this thread and bring up Ceese. But I randomly wound up on this post while looking through the boards. This bums me out too SkullTrauma. I don't know anything about headstones or how much they cost, but if someone was ever willing to put something together to get our brother a headstone or something, I would gladly contribute. But I don't know if it's too late to do that or in poor taste to bring it up, so I almost feel silly for responding. But I cant help it.

I'm not exactly sure how receptive his family would be to that. It could also be a possibly that he has a flat engravement plaque on the ground as well. Hard to tell from one picture.

If there was, it would 100% have a picture there.

In theory, yes. We would have to ask whoever uploaded the photo.

That's kind of the point of the website, to take pictures of plaques or headstones or whatever the major defining marker for the grave site is. I'm afraid Ceese's is more than likely what is shown there.

I understand how everyone feels, but like Zealot said, it's probably not a good idea to pursue the idea of "upgrading" the grave marker. Death is unfortunately a business that exploits people for every dollar they can, and I'm sure the decision here was a financial one for the surviving family.

I've added a marker to the fpwarena, you can find it at the bottom of every page.

I just wanted to stop by this topic and express my condolences to anyone who might see it. Ceese was a positive element to the FPW community and always brought a high level of enthusiasm to everything he did around it.

It's strange all the stuff he's missed, he would have likely thoroughly enjoyed (at least I like to think he would). All the Fire Pro content people have put out in that time. All the community stuff we've done and/or attempted since then. But the eerie thing about it? How different would it be if he hadn't passed away? What would be different now? Just kinda like "What if"? I'm willing to bet that he'd be blown away by all the stuff we've done.
