Great show, but everyone knew it would be. I'm going to the Strong Style Evolved UK show at the end of June so I'm hyped now, even though I'm expecting a bunch of 6 man tags.

I actually found Dominion even better than i thought it would be.

I mean in every wrestling events regardless if it's NJPW or another company, there are some matches that are mostly filler or just boring due to a lack of chemistry between the wrestlers.

But in this Dominion, it's one of the rare time that i found every match to be simply excellent .
Sure most of everyone is all about Okada vs Omega as it was indeed an incredible match , but i was really surprised to enjoy the complete event that much as usually i only watch 2 or 3 matches from wrestling shows and always avoid the filler and boring.

That's what a wrestling event should be : delivering great , fun and interesting matches to watch from the start to the end.

What's good in wrestling right now? I'm so far behind on everything. I've just been watching old stuff, except for Triple H and Stephanie McMahon vs Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle, Undertaker vs John Cena, and Undertaker vs Rusev, Jeff Hardy vs Daniel Bryan, and Rusev vs Daniel Bryan. Those are the only matches I've watched since last year's Wrestlemania.

NXT and NJPW. Since last year's Mania all the Takeovers have been worth watching (as they always are) for NJPW Dominion 2017, WK 2018, New Japan Cup 2018 and Dominion 2018 are a good start.

Main Roster WWE is basically garbage atm. I have no "real" idea what's going on there and from what I can tell, it's not very good.

I haven't been paying much attention to NXT neither. I haven't paid much attention to WWE since the Greatest Royal Rumble happened.

The most wrestling I've paid any attention to lately is AAA. If you like car crash booking, you might be interested in that. It's ludicrously stupid most of the time, but I'd rather be surprised by stupid shit than witness the obvious (WWE telegraphs their finishes from a mile away it seems).

Yeah, and I think Io Shirai is gonna be a part of it too.

That'll be good.

Rumor is she cleared her heart issue and they're gonna actually hire her, now.

Yeah, you probably know more than I do, but it looks like she's wrapping up previously booked dates.

Still waiting on an announcement for MYC2, but with the news of the UK stuff going on, I'm not so sure it's going to be happening for a bit yet.

I guess the WWE UK tournament was today, or started today. I honestly didn't know anything until I saw stuff on Twitter.

I guess there was probably a 4 women's match to open, maybe idk, but Jinny who wrestles for Progress was in it, match got called off because I guess she was injured.

I attended both WWE shows over the weekend in Chicago. Money in the Bank was the first WWE branded show in MANY years where I walked out feeling like it was worth every penny I spent. This was probably the best WWE show I've ever attended, and I've been to a lot in the Chicago/Indianapolis region. MITB and Takeover were just unearthly awesome in person. Job well done, WWE. On top of this being my birthday weekend, and a great personal thing I did on Friday, that combined with Takeover and MITB made the best birthday weekend I've had in my entire adulthood after years of having bad, awful, miserable, drama-filled, saddening birthdays.

Rhonda Rousey has no acting skills whatsover. Maybe she can work on her acting during her "30 day suspension".

So she's on par with most of the roster in that regard :D

I think her presence has been a surprising shot in the arm to an otherwise boring RAW product.

She's had two highly entertaining matches where her insane athleticism impressed in spite of her inexperience as a professional wrestler and she's absolutely fearless in terms of bumping. As much as I wish someone like Becky Lynch would get a chance to be a focal point of the women's side of things, I can't deny that Rousey has carried the in-ring end of her exposure. She's certainly looked better in two WWE matches than CM Punk has looked in two UFC matches.

Hopefully they use her time off to fine tune her skills. Particularly her mic skills. I noticed she hasn't talked much and for a good reason.

Probably the best one ever on the mic is Kevin Owens. He's gold on the mic and his acting is not bad either. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kevin in a movie role someday if he hasn't already.

In the last few days there was some rising heat coming from NJPW.

Kenny Omega in an interview basically called out nearly the whole japanese workers in the NJPW roster as being just "wait for their turn" complacent lazy bums and pointing at how him and the other foreigners worked their body daily in their "gym" and so were killing it much better than the native wrestlers were ever hoping to do (avoiding to mention he wrestled only 20 matches this year, 4 times less than the other njpw wrestlers :D ) .
https://uproxx.com/prowrestling/kenny-o ... en-lovers/

Basically showing that if people were expecting Omega to have a face turn after the Ibushi/Golden Lovers storyline concluded by his victory against Okada, they were going to be for a severe disapointement , arrogant Bullet Club Omega heel is still there to stay , and now he's the champ :D

Anyways, the very interesting part in the Omega interview is that he was targetting even more specifically Tetsuya Naito and putting him as basically the guy with the "Tranquilo" gimmick he disliked the most , unworthy of being the NJPW top guy.

Planting the seeds i suppose for a storyline about a future Omega vs Naito title defense , as Naito has been one of the most over wrestler in Japan, this Omega interview will very certainly achieve to pull the NJPW main fans (the guys from Japan) even more behind the leader of the Ingobernable de Japon .

And Naito replied , but he wasn't that Tranquilo this time

:D

I was wondering how Omega would manage his title reign and it looks like he's getting the heat quickly, the coming months will be interesting for NJPW.

Pretty sure you could look at guys like Yoshi-Hashi and consider Kenny's comments a shoot; he never seems to care and it's not a part of some arrogant gimmick like Okada.

Well Lee may have nearly killed Hiromu.

News pending severity.

The actual spot was completely painful to watch.

Damn that's really really sad to hear

I hope it's not as bad as speculated (broken neck) but that seems doubtful

Everybody in the building thought we'd just watched a man die. I was hoping that the fact that they finished the match meant he'd be okay, but apparently not. Hope he pulls through.

I think the camera guy thought the same, they zoomed back on to Lee very quickly.

Another brutal angle, he slides on his neck.
