Last weekend, TNT played the Hobbit and LOTR series like 40 times and I caught most of it
So seeing that trailer was awesome since I was really in a Middle Earth state of mind
I never played the preceding game but this looks really cool. I want to poke Sauron in his brown eye

Awesome, definitely getting this. First adventure game in a while that sold me on atmosphere alone. And that's before I even factor in Ronzo's involvement. I have very strong confidence in this. Granted, I liked the Cave when few others did but this is more traditionally up his alley and the "feel" of the environment is spot on

Honestly, I didn't have the best first night with this
It's not entirely the fault of the game but their keyboard mapping was really messed up on the first day of release. Re-customizing the keyboard caused a massive problem with the keys not syncing properly (especially "D") and I ended up having to resign myself to using the keyboard after a frustrating half hour of my customization being thrown back at me. Once I got used to it, it was okay.
Why the keyboard? Cause RCRU is the latest in a string of games that refuse to accommodate D-Input controllers (of which I have 3, including the one I use for the emulator with Fire Pro) and only accept X-Input. Now, I bought an Xbox One controller JUST to play SF5 last year, but it no longer works on my computer (it's not the controller, it's my 10 year old machine resembling a paper weight more and more each day). The controlling remapping programs don't work since my computer treats them as a foreign combatant and throws them out. So I was stuck using the keyboard until I get myself a new computer and/or controller.
The game itself was pretty fun though. I loved the fluidity AND impact of the combat. I actually preferred the start of the game with the retro River City game as the tutorial. When I started the new game, I picked the luchadore, only to find out he doesn't have any wrestling moves to start and his grapple was useless. Kind of annoying.
I'll definitely give this more chances but I want to get a new controller first. The keyboard is too frustrating for a game like this, even if the keys were mapped right. And, according to the Steam forums, I wasn't the only one having that mapping problem. I loved RCR and I know this game has it in it so I'll get back to it soon.
