Last weekend, TNT played the Hobbit and LOTR series like 40 times and I caught most of it

So seeing that trailer was awesome since I was really in a Middle Earth state of mind :D

I never played the preceding game but this looks really cool. I want to poke Sauron in his brown eye :goose:

Awesome, definitely getting this. First adventure game in a while that sold me on atmosphere alone. And that's before I even factor in Ronzo's involvement. I have very strong confidence in this. Granted, I liked the Cave when few others did but this is more traditionally up his alley and the "feel" of the environment is spot on 8-)

sonny615 wrote:Let me know what you think of RCRU. Seems like a ton of fun.

Honestly, I didn't have the best first night with this

It's not entirely the fault of the game but their keyboard mapping was really messed up on the first day of release. Re-customizing the keyboard caused a massive problem with the keys not syncing properly (especially "D") and I ended up having to resign myself to using the keyboard after a frustrating half hour of my customization being thrown back at me. Once I got used to it, it was okay.

Why the keyboard? Cause RCRU is the latest in a string of games that refuse to accommodate D-Input controllers (of which I have 3, including the one I use for the emulator with Fire Pro) and only accept X-Input. Now, I bought an Xbox One controller JUST to play SF5 last year, but it no longer works on my computer (it's not the controller, it's my 10 year old machine resembling a paper weight more and more each day). The controlling remapping programs don't work since my computer treats them as a foreign combatant and throws them out. So I was stuck using the keyboard until I get myself a new computer and/or controller.

The game itself was pretty fun though. I loved the fluidity AND impact of the combat. I actually preferred the start of the game with the retro River City game as the tutorial. When I started the new game, I picked the luchadore, only to find out he doesn't have any wrestling moves to start and his grapple was useless. Kind of annoying.

I'll definitely give this more chances but I want to get a new controller first. The keyboard is too frustrating for a game like this, even if the keys were mapped right. And, according to the Steam forums, I wasn't the only one having that mapping problem. I loved RCR and I know this game has it in it so I'll get back to it soon.

4.50 confirmed for tomorrow http://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/03/ ... -tomorrow/

Features in Firmware 4.50 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-r7RJD71fzM

Shadow of War gameplay - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Xg2-NC8Ijw
If I hadn't already pre-ordered the Gold Edition I would have after that.

As soon as I get patch 4.50 downloaded Shadow of Mordor is going right back on my system in boost mode. Forgot just how fantastic this series is.

Duelyst is getting its Third Expansion, Ancient Bonds next week.

39 new cards with a new mechanic Bond, which is like "Battlecry" from Hearthstone, but will only trigger if you have a minion of the same type on the board already. Seems really nice as it opens up play for neutral cards of Golem and Arcanyst type that didn't see much play until now.

You can get the whole thing (3 copies of each card) for 20 bucks, which is pretty sweet (imagine such pricing in Hearthstone).

I cannot recommend this game enough.

That Shadow of War gameplay trailer was fantastic. I loved the first one. The Nemesis system, and the way it organically created unique stories actually reminded me of the way Firepro does the same thing in simming. And now yoy have even more great story potential with having your own army with that same dynamic.

I can't believe no one has ripped off the nemesis system in another game. Is the whole thing patented or something?

When I first reviewed Shadow of Mordor I said every other developer needs to steal the nemesis system and use it in their own games. What an amazing story telling tool.

Wargroove, the fantasy setting Advance Wars game is now confirmed to be getting a release of Xbox and PC as well as Switch. Awesome news. I will definitely buy it on both PC and Switch when I get one.

Spent a good chunk of the day installing, patching and backing up a good chunk of my PS4 library to my external hard drive. Still have quite a chunk to go as well as some brutal patches to download on my slow connection. Going to attempt to get my entire PS4 library backed up.

EDIT: Forgot to add, Resident Evil Revelations finally getting its PS4 upgrade and Code Veronica has apparently appeared as a PS4 listing on a German game site. Already have Revelations pre-ordered and will definitely get Code Veronica when it comes out. That just leaves Resident Evil 2 and 3 to complete the mainline series. I love it, will have the entire original series installed on my PS3 and the entire Remastered series on my PS4.

I'm playing Mass Effect Andromeda now, and that was one of the games I was looking forward to in 2017. I played a lot of Warframe but very little Destiny, but I'm excited for Destiny 2 if they release it on PC. Tokyo 42 is a game I'm really excited for that I'll be buying at launch. I've been following that game development for a long time. I'm excited for the new Enderall DLC because that game/mod is amazing. Also I'm obviously excited for the new Fire Pro World. Those are the game I'm excited for/hoping for in 2017. Anything Red Dead would be great too.

Warhammer Total War 2 announced - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzgpPM_UA9E

We already knew it was going to be a trilogy that can be played assembled as a bundle or separately. This looks to expand the world map considerably and add 4 new factions to the mix including Lizardmen, High Elves, Dark Elves and what is hinted to be Skaven. It's also expected that they will be bolstering the armies of the already existing factions with new units. Looks like I'll be upgrading my graphics card when this comes out.

Also nothing confirmed yet, but rumors the last couple weeks have indicated a PS4 Pro Slim may be in the works. If it turns out to be true I'll definitely buy one for my bedroom, stick my current one in the living room and likely give away my regular one to one of my brothers if they want it.

Rumor Mill now says a Nintendo Switch Mario Kart Deluxe bundle could be coming in the near future.

Although it was partially leaked, the full Star Wars Battlefront II trailer is going up on the 15th and looks like the game will span all three eras of the Star Wars universe. Also a full single player campaign confirmed.
