Patch notes for the 1.8gig patch that just came out.

Patch Notes

Road to Glory Fixes
•Fixed issue where a MyPLAYER's qualification progress was reset in bad networking situations in Road to Glory.
•Fixed issue with PSN wait time and matchmaking times in Road to Glory.

Highlight Video:
•Create a video – added the ability to choose from cutscenes using the following entrance, promo, and universe/career. From these sub options you can choose the cast (wrestlers) for the highlights.
General Bug Fixing
•Gameplay: The referee fails to count pin falls or disqualifications in 8-man matches with entrances on in gameplay.
•Fixed an issue where Ref doesn't count the pin in Tag Team matches when entrances are enabled.
•Universe: The title fatal crashes when starting any promo in Universe.
•Fixed crash that would occur when starting a user-created Self-Promotion Promo.
•Fixed an exploit that allowed rivalries to occur between Superstars of different genders
•Fixed not being able to select the “No Mercy” PPV theme when customizing a PPV.
•Fixed Royal Rumble winners being booked into title matches for the World Title of both co-hosting shows at WrestleMania.
•Fixed some cases where rivalries would break and lead to continuous One-on-One and Two-on-Two matches between the rivals.
-Note: This patch will not retroactively fix a broken rivalry.
•Fixed cutscenes where the wrong Superstars are shown, or where Superstars are swapped.
•Reduced chances of Falls Count Anywhere matches being booked on Major Shows.
•Increased chances of rivalries occurring that involve a champion; this should lead to more title matches occurring overall.
•The Duration of naturally-occurring rivalries will now vary.
-Non-title rivalries will be randomized between Short and Medium durations.
-Title rivalries will be randomized between Medium and Long durations.

I still joke that those patch notes shouldve been labeled "Game is too much like RAW and Smackdown. We've fixed that."

User-created Self-Promos: NO GOING OFF SCRIPT! *crash*
Rumble winners being booked for both titles: Roman in 2019.
Rivalries 'broken' and continuously doing 1v1: literally WWE creative.
Increased chances of rivalries leading to more title matches: BORK LASER!

Game is fun enough, but they certainly could have done better with testing prior to release. Though patched, still have had a: crash in a tag team match with a team with alt. attires, belts still come through some entrance attires, characters remain suspended after ladder is knocked over in a tag team TLC.

The series should be so much farther ahead - all wrestlers and referees in the ring during introductions, ladders, tables, chairs, should not morph/slide around the ring so easily, characters should not float /move around the ring and ringside in order to be placed in position for another character to perform a move.

I know I am am missing some other issues and that I am "preaching to the choir" - diehard wrestling game fans. But I had to vent a bit.

This game would absolutely suck for someone who bought it without having internet. I don't own it, but there's been a lot of things fixed since release.

The big patches usually come alongside the DLC releases.

Is it just me, or did the PS4 1.04 patch drastically improve the play-ability (fun factor) of 2K18? I regretted my purchase of 2K18 up until the latest patch was released.

Holy crap Hana, that was so fun, and 2K Brightly looks so good! Maaann that game looks fun too, hadn't seen anything from the last two or three years of WWE games, but boy this got me all jazzed. Also I love how you have a whole baker's crew over there it looks like :D (yes, two is enough to infer a crew). And kudos to your commentator, he's excellent!

Thanks guys, it was really fun putting the video together and editing it. Most fun I've had editing a match video in such a long time. Appreciate all your comments.

Xbox had this game on sale so I grabbed it just for kicks. Is there anything that can be done to make your opponents pin less often? I'm trying to carry them into back and forth 5 star matches, but they instinctively pin too soon. Also, any advice on setting up universe mode? I haven't played one of these in a while but my universe mode always became a mess. How do I manage it more effectively?

When it comes to WWE 2K18 A.I. and pinning, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do about that. However, try kicking out at 2. Your star-rating meter gets a bigger boost kicking out at 2 rather than at 1. Kicking out just before 3 can provide a bigger boost too, but the game doesn't reward it on a consistent basis. Kicking out at 2 always gives you the boost. It's weird, and it's something they haven't fixed for the last two games now. But just know the "five star performance" is based on how you play, and really doesn't hold any relevance on how your opponent performs.

When it comes to organizing your WWE Universe roster:
First go through and sort your shows. Keep note of what belts are your "World" tier and your "Mid-card" tier.
Next, you're going to want to go through your superstars individually. You can choose which tier each superstar can compete for. For instance, if you don't want Heath Slater in the "World" title rankings, you just disable his ability to compete for the belt, while keeping his mid-card title on.
Then to lessen the chances of tag team wrestlers facing one another, you can do a couple things:
1) Make your tag team championships shared between both brands, and only have each member of the team on one brand (like Titus being on RAW, and Apollo being on Smackdown.)
2) Or! If you want them on the same brand, simply make one member only compete for the World title, and the other for the Mid-card.
3) Lastly, you can disable them competing for singles titles entirely, and only have them on for the tag team championships.
By setting things up this way, the in-game booking is more likely to book world-tier talent against one another, and mid-card tier talent against one another. But there is the occasional hiccup. Also, the in-game booking tends to favor Falls Count Anywhere matches and Elimination Tags. So you may have to edit the booking if you don't want to see those.
ALSO, if you want a show like "Superstars" or "Main Event" but don't want to see top-tier guys like Cena on the show, you can disable their ability to show up on c-shows by going through their individual settings.

Hope this helps!
